What We Think
Strange that the rumours have not identified the sizes of the monitors. At one time, Sony was significant in the PC monitor market*, but withdrew a long time ago. However, having a monitor that simply goes through the PS5 channels makes a lot of sense. The brand continues to have great value and of course, for a firm that makes broadcast monitors and TVs, making a monitor is unlikely to overload its engineers!
*The firm was a good client for my forecasts, back in the day and once gave me a W900 (iirc) 16:10 CRT monitor. The monitor was hand tuned by a technician at Sony in Bridgend, Wales and, when it was delivered, was probably the best CRT desktop monitor in Europe! However, I had to go out to the local DIY store and buy some steel tubing to reinforce my desk which was sagging under the weight (42 KG!). (BR)
