Sony had suspended its roll-out for Android Marshmallow version 6.0 for its 2015 and 2016 TVs in Europe, but now the company will restart the upgrade this week. (Android 7 Gets to Shield and (later) Sony)
There has been no comment on why it had to suspend the software update but according to forum posts the software froze some 43” models; however, the problem now has apparently been resolved.
The update can be downloaded via Sony’s support page and can then be installed via a USB, otherwise users can wait for the server to be ready to push the update to the TV via the built-in over-the-air update function.
