Sony to Launch TWO Consoles in September

Sony will introduce two new Playstation 4 consoles at its event next month, according to the Wall Street Journal.

As well as the Playstation Neo, Sony will launch a refreshed model of its standard PS4. In this way, it will target both hardcore and casual gamers at the event.

Damian Thong, an analyst at Macquarie Securities, told the WSJ that he expects the new standard model to be slimmer and cheaper than the current ($350) console.

‘People familiar with the matter’ say that Sony has cut production of the existing PS4 in order to adjust inventory. Several retailers in Japan are now reporting that they have none in stock.
