Sony Tests UltraHD HDR in Hawaii

The PGA Tour (also known as the Sony Open), which began in Hawaii on the 17th January, is being recorded in UltraHD using Sony’s professional cameras. In particular, Sony’s HDC-4300 will be used to capture action at the 17th hole. The cameras will record video for the main broadcast, as well as UltraHD HDR video, which will then be sent to separate servers for Sony to work on. This video will be sent to select viewing areas around the Waialae Country Club, where the event is being held.
