Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the first films that it will release using the UltraHD Blu-ray format. They will include The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Hancock and Salt. Content will be rendered with “HDR”, but Sony has not given any more details.
Analyst Comment
The company has meant that it supports ST.2084 PQ when it has talked about HDR support on its TVs, so it’s reasonable to assume that it supports, at least, that format. (BR)
