Sony Monitors Show D56 Colour Temp

Sony’s new medical monitors meet the demand for 1920 x 1080 colour displays in applications such as surgical endoscopy. In addition to D65 and D93, the LMD-2735MD (27″) and LMD-2435MD (24″) can utilise the D56 colour temperature setting.

Both models have a slim (78mm) and fanless design. AC power is used as standard, but they are also compatible with DC when using an adapter. Edge-to-edge glass means that the front surface is flat for easy cleaning.

The connector panels are recessed to avoid dust and dirt. Each features DVI-D, HD-SDI, component, composite and S-Video. Sources can be daisy-chained via DVI, and the monitors can be controlled through RS232 and RJ45.

Contrast ratio from the IPS panel is 1,000:1, with 178° viewing angles and 300 cd/m² of brightness. Both monitors are DICOM compliant.

Sony will release its new medical displays this month. Price is on application.
