The Alder Hey children’s hospital in the UK recently moved to a new facility, with 16 operating theatres – 13 of them featuring Sony monitors and room cameras. In total, Sony supplied 39 displays for the faciltiy’s ORs (26 27″ surgical displays, 13 43″ Bravia displays) and 343 screens around the hospital. These included 20 65″ UltraHD B2B displays in the atrium; 20 32″ Bravia TVs; 300 43″ screens; and three 75″ Bravia professional displays for the digital aquarium. The aquarium was designed to help calm anxious children before their surgery.
