TV reviewer and (when it’s legal) professional display calibrator Vincent Teoh has reviewed the Sony A90J OLED TV which is the top of the range for Sony this year. The Sony uses an OLED with an aluminium heat sink to allow higher peak brightness. He rates the TV as having the best HDR picture of any OLED TV that he has tested. He is also impressed with the video processing although not so impressed with the Mediatek processor used for gaming.

What We Think

I keep an eye on this channel as I think Teoh takes a lot of care and tries his very best to make his comments very accurate. He has also reviewed the Hisense L5 Laser TV (UST projector + ALR screen). He highlights that the set is really designed for 60Hz content. He also liked the HDR performance with UltraHD content, for a projector (which he is not that keen on). (BR)
