What They Say
Sony has released its latest A7 series mirrorless camera that has a 60MP sensor and, for the first time in the series, can capture 8K video. However, our attention was drawn to the new electronic viewfinder (EVF) that has a 2048 x 1536 (4:3) resolution OLED. The display in the EVF also has a high frame rate mode for HFR video, although it drops back to displaying in ‘standard’ resolution.
The rear display has ‘2,100,000’ dots (700K pixels – although we estimate it as 960 x 720, which would be slightly less) and has a 3.2″ diagonal.
What We Think
I have recently acquired a Sony A7 IV which has ‘only’ a 1280 x 960 format EVF – and I was impressed with the quality of that! (BR)
