Socionext will show a new graphics SoC, the SC1810 at the International VDI Congress ’ELIV’ (Electronics In Vehicles) event in Bonn (Germany), October 18–19th.
The chip includes what the company claims is the first OpenVX compliant image recognition system. The chip has a 360° wrap-around view system and the latest CGI Studio HMI development tool and technology will be demonstrated showing CECIL, an Interactive IVI & cluster, and the latest version of Scene Composer, which will show how a 2D/3D scene can be created.
The MB8AL203x is said to be a highly integrated HD multi-format digital decoder and H.264 encoder. It is designed for multimedia applications such as in-car TV-reception units, infotainment/ entertainment systems and generic STB systems. The demonstration will include HEVC 1080p Video Decoding and Playback and the chip can supports three 1080P streams of output and six inputs.
