Smart Technologies Inc reported its financials for its first fiscal quarter to the end of June. Revenue was down by 20% year on year to $98.7 million, and there was a loss of $3.7 million, up from $300K last time, as the company transitions to its new Kapp products. The company said that it has received an order for 1,800 6065 interactive displays from Africa during the quarter and has done a deal with Acco for a co-branded version of the Smart Kapp in North America. The Smart Kapp started shipping in late June.
