Sling TV is now available on select Samsung Smart TVs, making it the first live and on-demand over-the-top service to come to the platform.
The service is currently available on Samsung’s 2016 line of Smart TVs and will roll out to other select models as time goes on. Sling TV is also available for Roku, Apple TV (2015 and onwards), Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Xbox One, Android TV, Channel Master, Android and iOS mobile devices, PC and Mac.
Analyst Comment
At the time of writing, we’re not too sure of the geographical scope of Sling TV, though various sources point to the service being geolocked to the US only. Certainly, when we try to access the website, we get a message to say it’s blocked here in the UK. (AF)
