Sky has announced its plans to build a 6,500m² “innovation centre” at one of its campuses in London, UK. To be built on the company’s Osterley campus, the centre will be a space for creative minds, such as engineers and developers, to get together, brainstorm and create future products, services and technologies.
The centre will be Sky’s third technology hub, joining its current facilities in Leeds, UK and Milan, Italy. It will also be the venue for a new scheme being launched by the company, designed to encourage women to join the technology industry, with free coding training on offer for school leavers and opportunities at the Sky Software Academy available for those who complete the program.
