The Benelux DBCI fell since the last poll in May/June: from 75 points to 66.67 points. The current business situation is seen as conservative, but hopes are high for the future.
66.6% of respondents said that their current business situation was ‘good’. 28.6% referred to it as ‘satisfactory’ and 4.8% as ‘poor’. However, over the next six months 71.4% expect the situation to improve, and 28.6% say that it will remain the same. No survey participants predicted a weakening of their business.
As with the French market, OVAB asked Benelux companies about mobile integration. The results were very similar to those of France, with fewer than 10% of 2014 signage projects utilising the technology. Most installations and campaigns do not use the interactive possibilities of digital signage, but are instead a simple digitised version of analogue media.
Within the next two years, respondents expect between 10% and 15% of digital signage projects will use mobile integration.
