Sharp has launched a new 55″ Class (54.6″ diagonal) narrow bezel video wall monitor, the PN-V550A, to its PN-V range. The unit has a bezel-to-bezel distance of 3.5mm and FullHD resolution. Units are factory calibrated to provide uniformity in chromatic intensity, luminance and hue. Brightness is 500 cd/m², contrast is 4,00:1, and the unit is 40% lighter (55.1lbs/25kg) and more energy efficient than the 60″ PN-V600A (185W). The units are fitted with four corner carrying handles to make handling easier.
The units are available with the Sharp “between panel” mirror system to reduce the visual impact of the bezels. There is an optional remote control sensor box for single point control of complete walls.
Inputs include DVI and DisplayPort 1.1 as well as HDMI and component video. DVI-D and DisplayPort are also supported as outputs. The units can be used in landscape or portrait orientation and is rated for 24/7 operation.
