LDM Vol 24 #48 Product Round-up

Cinemood LTE is a new portable projector that is a crowdfunding project that will be shown at CES in January. An unusual feature is that the device has an integrated LTE modem and is said to be ‘five times brighter’ than the previous version, which seems to be an Indiegogo project that raised $171,438 in the summer of 2016. The unit has covers that include memory for content and some of the content is licensed from Disney. The current version, which is now shipping, will also be shown at the show,

I’m often surprised that projector professionals do not know about the technology from Dynamic Projection Institute which puts a mirror with programmable movement in front of a projector lens to allow the image to be moved around and also to react to content. We originally saw it demonstrated by Panasonic, but now the company has a version for three chip DLP projectors in the Christie M Series (e.g. the HD14K-M) and from the Christie Roadster Series, like the HD20K-J.
