Sharp Drops Hisense Case in NY

As we reported, Sharp is suing Hisense in the US and had filed complaints in California and New York as well as going to arbitration in Singapore (Sharp Sues Hisense Over ‘Shoddy’ Products). Now, Sharp has dropped the New York action, although it has not provided detailed reasons for the withdrawal. Because Hisense is owned by the Qingdao municipal government, the company has exercised the right to remove the case to a federal court.
