SES showcased the integration of satellite capabilities within 5G during a live demonstration with SaT5G consortium partners at the EuCNC2018 conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Several members of the SaT5G consortium — SES, VT iDirect, Broadpeak, i2CAT and the University of Surrey — came together to present the integration of a 5G test-bed with the satellite system.
The demo showcased satellite back-hauling features and edge delivery of multimedia content as a proof-of-concept for their integration into the 5G network.
