ET Times in Korea is reporting that because of delays in finding a buyer, instead of selling its Tangjeong L7-1 line in December, Samsung may simply sell the equipment for scrapping. The paper reports that a bidding process for the scrapping process is already under way.
Analyst Comment
The reason for this decision is that Samsung is currently up to capacity for its small and flexible OLEDs and is very keen to boost its capacity to maintain its market dominance. (BR)
