What They Say
The Elec reports that Samsung is using the same OLED material set – described as the M11 set – on the Galaxy S22 Ultra as it used on the S21 Ultra in order to contain its costs. This set of materials is used on the iPhone 13, the paper said.
Meanwhile, the other models in the S22 series, the 6.6-inch Plus model had its set upgraded to M11 from M10. The standard 6.1-inch model uses M10 like its predecessor. A lower set, M9, is said to have been selected for low end an mid-range OLED-based models.
What We Think
We have seen from other sources that the M11 panel formulation was used by Vivo and DSCC has reported that it is called the E5 in China. UDC materials were used for red and green emitter dopants while SFC was supplying blue. The firm supplies details of all the suppliers in its reports. (BR)
