Samsung has agreed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pearl TV (a partnership of nine broadcasters) and the Sinclair Broadcast Group, in the USA. The companies will work together over the next 18 months to support the development and implementation of the ATSC 3.0 standard. In addition to tests, they will research ways to enhance reception and deliver new services, such as UltraHD TV, HDR and 21:9 content. Sinclair and Pearl TV have a combined reach of over 88 million households.
