Global Zeus, a firm known for its expertise in semiconductor and display manufacturing equipment and robots, has recently secured an order from Samsung Display for a transport robot crucial for the display manufacturing process. This deal, valued at 29 billion won ($21 million), signifies a substantial achievement for Zeus, amounting to 5.7% of their sales from the prior year. The robot in question is used for moving panels during the display production process. Zeus claims to have supplied 8,000 such robots to various display manufacturers both locally and internationally since 1996.
According to ZDNet in Korea, an official from Zeus highlighted the importance of this milestone, a justification of the company’s large-scale facility investments initiated in response to what was hoped to be surging demand for large OLEDs. Zeus anticipates delivering more robots in the latter half of the year.
