The Elec reports that although Samsung would like to use RGB OLED technology for its forthcoming OLEDoS microdisplays, it will initially use a WOLED architecture in its first generation products. The Elec said that Samsung is looking at the technology developed by eMagin for RGB OLED microdisplays (although it’s Korean language article refers to ‘Company A’.)
What We Think
Sony, which is the current leader in OLED microdispays, uses WOLED for its displays which are expected to be supplied to Apple next year. (BR)
