Sales of flat-panel TVs in Japan totalled 332,000 units in November, a 22.2% decline from the 427,000 sold during the same period in 2016, according to figures released by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA).
Of this figure, 146,000 were Ultra HD TVs, a 44% share of all flat-panel TV sales for the month and a 2.1% increase from sales of UHD TVs in November 2016.
Analyst Comment
Digitimes quoted that OLED prices had dropped 18.3% on average in the quarter to October in Japan, but we couldn’t see this data on the Jeita site. (BR)
