Supply chain sources say that, due to bottlenecks with in-cell touch production, Apple may return to glass-on-glass touch. Touch panel makers are trying to create GoG panels that would enable future iPhones to be as thin as today’s models using in-cell touch, said the sources. TPK believes that it can reduce the current touch panel thickness from 0.85mm to 0.71mm, for example.
