The BBC’s Andy Quested has said that the broadcaster may not use terrestrial signals for any future UltraHD plans. Speaking at the Futuresource Consulting New Content Horizons conference in London, Quested said the Red Button – accessing an IP feed – could be used to take viewers to UltraHD content. He also reiterated that the BBC does not currently have a strategy for an UltraHD rollout, and the comments were made in a personal capacity.
