Q1 2017 Sees 410,000 Drop in US Pay-TV Subscribers

The biggest pay-TV providers in the USA lost around 410,000 net video subscribers in Q1 2017, according to analysts Leichtman Research. In the same quarter last year, they added 10,000 subscribers. The top six cable companies saw their subscribers fall by 114,059, while satellite users decreased by 318,000 and phone companies were down by 326,000. However, internet-delivered services saw a net gain of about 350,000.
