What They Say
Sony said in a blog post that the PlayStation 5 would gain variable refresh rate support via some firmware patches that will roll out this week and can be used with TVs and monitors that support the VRR function in HDMI2.1. 15 games are listed in the post as the first top get support, but others will arrive. The technique can also be applied to other games and that might make them look better. The feature can also be disabled.
What We Think
This will certainly help the development of sets designed to give an optimum gaming experience with consoles. (BR)
