Promethean’s directors have unanimously recommended that its shareholders accept Netdragon Websoft’s $130 million offer for the UK-based interactive display vendor and education provider. Netdragon announced its intention to acquire Promethean last month (China’s NetDragon Launches Promethean Bid).
The recommendation came as Promethean released its interim results, recording a net loss in the first six months of the year of £7.1 million ($11.1 million) on turnover of £52.8 million ($82.5 million), which compares with a net loss of £4.3 million ($6.7 million) on turnover of £57.7 million ($90.2 million) for the corresponding period of last year.
