Primeview Brings UltraHD to New Size

Primeview has introduced a new size in UltraHD resolution displays: the 48.5″ PRV494KLED. While much information is still preliminary – including any release details – the company has confirmed that the screen will be available with HDBaseT connectivity as an option (PRV494KLEDHDBT).

Rather than four LVDS connections used in 1920 x 1080 displays, Primeview’s unit uses dual V-by-One cables to enable its resolution. The screen is designed as a durable monitor, operating 24/7, with an internal temperature sensor and LED backlight with a 60,000-hour MTBF. Content can be upscaled to UltraHD.

The display panel has a refresh rate of 120Hz, with a 3ms response time and 3,500:1 contrast ratio. Viewing angles are 178 deg and the product can show 10-bit colour.

Multiple connections are featured: DisplayPort, HDMI (x3, one with MHL), DVI-D, RGB, RS232 and USB.
