Pay-TV subscribers in Portugal rose 1.1% (33,000) QoQ and 5.6% (183,000) YoY in Q2, ending the period at 3.43 million customers. Most growth came from the rising popularity of fibre optic connections. Cable TV remained the most popular platform (1.4 million subs, 39.5% share, down 2.3% YoY). It was followed by xDSL (754,000 subs, 22% share, up 4.7%) and DTH/satellite (607,000 subs, 17.7% share, up 2.6%).
