Pixelworks’ Advanced Visual Processing Technology Enhances Display Quality on Asus ROG Phone 7

Pixelworks has announced that the newly launched Asus ROG Phone 7 Series integrates the company’s visual processing solutions, including HDR technology, color calibration, and DC dimming, among others. This advanced technology brings a more immersive, realistic, and eye-friendly visual experience to Asus smartphone users. The phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448×1080 pixels, 1,500 nits peak brightness, and supports refresh rates of up to 165 Hz.

Pixelworks uses real-time SDR-to-HDR conversion to enhance contrast and expose more colors for a more cinematic visual experience. The brand new dynamic and high-precision HDR tone mapping further improves HDR videos, leading to a more vivid and stereoscopic look. Additionally, every ROG Phone 7 Series smartphone is factory-tuned with patented display calibration technology from Pixelworks, ensuring no perceptible deviations from perfect color accuracy.

Asus’ General Manager of the Smartphone Business Unit, Bryan Chang, praised Pixelworks’ technical support, which empowers the ROG Phone 7 Series smartphone to authentically present the colorfulness of artistic and realistic worlds on the screen. Meanwhile, Ting Xiong, President of Pixelworks China, hopes to expand technical cooperation with the ROG team to deliver more innovative gaming and video experiences to consumers in the future.
