Pioneer’s UDP-LX500 Ultra HD Blu-ray player, announced back in June, is currently being shown off at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Germany, ahead of its European release, tentatively scheduled for September/October 2018 and priced at €1,000 (about $1,160).
We now know the device, developed in collaboration with Onkyo, features a low-resonance design, two HDMI outputs and Dolby Vision support, on top of UHD resolution, HRD10 and Dolby Atmos and DTS:X audio formats. However, though it will play HD Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD, SACD, DVD-Audio and CDs, it won’t support streaming apps.
