Philips Professional Display Solutions (PPDS) has announced the introduction of the latest addition to its direct view LED (dvLED) portfolio at Infocomm 2023. This product range incorporates energy-efficient and ‘cool’ common cathode LED technology, with a commensurate reductions in power consumption and heat emissions.
This is Philips’ finest dvLED release to date. The 6300 Series supports high-quality imaging with HDR10+ resolution and 12-bit colors, ensuring near perfect color and brightness accuracy. It has the smallest pixel pitch in the company’s dvLED line, with a 0.95 pixel pitch. The 27″ landscape panels support a native 16:9 aspect ratio.
The new product line also introduces 4-in-1 mini LED technology, the ‘cool LED’ as it is being dubbed. This new technology promises improved image quality at both short and long distances while reducing energy consumption, contributing to a lower cost of ownership. It also has a low latency refresh rate of 3840Hz.
The Philips 6300 is the first of PPDS’ dvLED line to support 12-bit colors and HDR10+ resolution and is equipped with active health monitoring, allowing AV/IT managers to monitor the display’s performance around the clock, detecting any faults or dead pixels before they become an issue (the company says 100,000 hours of operation is expected). The new displays are designed with a sleek diecast aluminium casing, for optimal heat dissipation and reduced fire risks compared to plastic.
