MMD has extended its Philips V7 and S7 desktop monitor product lines which are aimed at value-conscious buyers in home offices and public and private sector offices. The V7 line up includes two models with 21.5″ panels, three with 23.8″ and four with 27″ and is the best value line. The S7 line up adds features including height adjustment and consists of two 21.5″ versions and four with 23.8″ displays. All of the new monitors are ‘frameless’ on three sides and all feature IPS LCDs.
The S Series includes stereo speakers and flicker-free backlight control as well as the SoftBlue technology that reduces blue light. Both lines feature EasyRead and SmartContrast technology.
Most of the monitors have VGA and HDMI 1.4 inputs, although the S line has options with VGA and DisplayPort, or DVD-D. All the monitors have 250 cd/m² of brightness and 1,000:1 static contrast with 5ms or 8ms response times (grey to grey).

It’s good to see even the entry level Philips V series using IPS panels. TN has been offered for too long and the very least a monitor should do, in my opinion, is look the same colour from each direction! (BR)
