AV technology pioneer Peerless-AV® will be showcasing its new Xtreme™ Outdoor IR Touch Overlay in Hall 12, Stand E57, at ISE 2017, Amsterdam RAI, 7-10 February. The touch overlay (IRTO49-100/IRTO55-100) is now available to order with Peerless-AV’s 49” and 55″ Xtreme Outdoor Displays or can be purchased as an interactive upgrade option for existing 49” and 55″ Xtreme displays and kiosk solutions already installed in hospitality, entertainment and transportation environments.
A new product category for Peerless-AV, the Xtreme Outdoor IR Touch Overlay responds to growing demand for a simple, scalable solution for adding interactivity to outdoor displays. Tested to IP65/NEMA 4X standards, the touch overlay provides protection against water and dust. Using the incorporated infrared technology it is capable of responding to 10 simultaneous point of touch and can detect any input drive, including gloved or bare finger, stylus or pen.
The overlay is manufactured from powder coated aluminium, ensuring a durable, long-lasting performance that matches the reliability of the optically bonded Xtreme displays. It is custom built for easy setup and simply slides over the display. Security screws fasten the overlay to the display to prevent theft and it can be removed effortlessly for servicing or replacement keeping costs and downtime to an absolute minimum. The overlay is compatible with multiple operating systems, including Mac, Windows, Linux and Android.
