Worldwide pay TV subscriptions rose 6.9 million (1.7%) QoQ in Q1’16, according to Informitv’s Multiscreen Index. 60 of the top 100 companies showed gains. The greatest rise was in APAC, with 5.4 million new subs (4.7 million of them in India). The top 10 services worldwide lost just under 1 million subscribers QoQ. Informitv says that 81% of the 400 million homes its Index covers now have access to some form of multiscreen service, although adoption and viewing are much lower.
