Reports from Asia, quoting ‘market observers’, claim that TV panel shipments will rise 2.7% YoY this year, to 217 million units, and 3.5% next year. The market will be bolstered by recovering growth in North America and Europe and rising demand in emerging economies. As well as improving economic conditions worldwide, new features such as UltraHD, OLED and quantum dot technologies are expected to increase demand. The observers predicted India as the TV market’s leading region over the next few years.
