After announcing the 65″ EZ1002 for European and Japanese buyers at the recent CES show (Panasonic Upgrades OLED HDR TV – but Not for North America), the company has now announced a 77″ version in that series and 55″ and 65″ EZ952 series models, bringing the range to four models when they rare delivered in June (EZ952) or ‘the autumn’ (77″ EZ1002).
The designs both use the Panasonic Studio Colour HCX2 processor for accurate colours. The EZ1002 will have better speakers (14 multiple speaker units – eight woofers, four squawkers and two tweeters, plus a quad passive radiator to boost bass) and will have the option of user-defined or ISF CLUTs being uploaded. The EZ1002 are of high enough quality to act as professional calibrated monitors, Panasonic said.
UK models will support a special Freeview version, while other European versions will have Sat>IP support.
The EZ1002 also features a newly developed My Home Screen 2.0 smart system intended to deliver an ultra-smooth and intuitive user experience across multiple content sources. New features include favourites folders for multiple users, a My App button on the remote that can be customised for faster access to favourite content, and a revamped Media Player app that supports 4K HDR10 and HLG content.
