TPK Holding Co. Ltd. recorded a net loss in the third quarter of NT$241 million ($7.9 million) on turnover of NT$32.6 billion ($1 billion), which compares with a net profit a year earlier of NT$1 billion ($32.8 million) on turnover of NT$29.4 billion ($966.2 million).
United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) reported a net profit in Q3 of NT$2.9 billion ($95.3 million) on turnover of NT$35.2 billion ($1.1 billion), which compares with a net profit of NT$3.5 billion ($115 million) on turnover of NT$33.4 billion ($1 billion) in Q3 of last year.
