Google’s Nexus Player (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 41) Android TV product went on sale earlier this month, but has since been removed from the online store. Google said that the device has not yet been approved by the FCC, although this is expected ‘imminently’.
60% of pay-TV subscribers in Latin America will be taking HD services by 2018, according to Dataxis. HD subscribers in the region stood at 13.9 million in Q1’14.
