Chinese TV vendors will place steady panel orders in Q4, say Asian sources. UltraHD TV sales in the country are regular and vendors will be stocking up for the Chinese New Year in Q1’15, after their reserves fell following the national holiday in October.
Sources says that TV sales in China during the country’s National Day holiday, at the start of October, were down between 3% and 5% YoY this year. The energy-saving subsidies that boosted sales in 2012 and 2013 have now ended. However, the sources said that UltraHD TVs had a penetration rate above 20%.

Netflix has raised the price of its UltraHD streaming services, to $12, for new subscribers. Current members do not have to pay the new price until August 2016. Higher acquisition costs were given as the reason.
