Barco’s 6p laser projector, the DP4K-60L, has won an award for its design and performance at the 2014 Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV). Judges particularly highlighted the projector’s high framerate and dynamic range.

MStar’s HEVC TV SoC will be the first digital TV chip to receive DivX’s HEVC Certification. The Certification means that the SoC can playback HEVC UltraHD video using the DivX codec.
Several new companies have been announced with products using the DivX HEVC solution. TVs from Toshiba (see Product News); LG (UltraHD models); and TCL have been named as using the format. Additionally, Wohler has licensed the MainConcept DivX HEVC SDK, to enable file-based content preparation through the ‘RadiantGrid’ content distribution and transformation platform.
