Sharp Chooses Metal Mesh for Large-Format Touch

Although we missed it at the time, we have heard about several new products demonstrated at Touch Taiwan last month by Sharp. They used metal mesh rather than ITO, a proprietary controller chip and procap touch. Sony Joins Allseen

Sony has joined the Internet of Things standards body, the Allseen Alliance. Current ‘Premier’ members now include Panasonic, Sharp, Haier, Qualcomm Connected Experiences, Microsoft and LG. The Alliance aims to promote interoperability between connected devices, using the Alljoyn open-source software. Sony has not committed to using Alljoyn yet.
