The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) has appointed Alessandro Cattani as its first regional deputy chairman for Europe. Cattani, the CEO of Italian broadliner Esprinet was named a member of the GTDC’s executive council last October. In this additional role, he will help drive the strategic direction and initiatives in Europe for the GTDC.
Amir Faintuch, the former president of Qualcomm Atheros, has joined Intel as senior VP and co-general manager of Intel’s Platform Engineering Group. In his new role, Faintuch joins Josh Walden in leading the group as Intel strives to improve its mobile and internet device business.
