Nintendo has announced refreshed models of the 3DS and 3DS XL handheld consoles, focusing on the screen. The ‘New 3DS’ and ‘New 3DS XL’ will feature wider 3D viewing angles than the older models. Sources in the Taiwan supply chain claim that Sony is developing smartphones (plural) with a metal-alloy chassis. These phones will be produced by Foxconn, with the chassis likely to be supplied by Foxconn Technology. Sony will launch the products in 2015.
The UK’s DTG Testing is now trialling the functionality of the D-Book 7 v4. Updates have been released to the organisation’s MHEG test suites, under the ‘beta’ status; this means that test suite licensees can see the changes, but cannot test them until 1st October – the day after the D-Book is launched.
