Eurofins, a laboratory group, has acquired Digital TV Labs (DTVL), the UK- and China-based media and device testing organisation. DTVL will continue to offer its services to customers, but the move will also extend the group’s global reach and enable investment in new products and services.
A new feature for AMD’s Radeon graphics cards is being developed, known as ‘Dynamic Frame Rate Control’ (DFRC). Following Apple’s withdrawl from Russia (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 50), Asus, Acer, Micro-Star International (MSI), Gigabyte and Lenovo have all followed suit. The companies have stopped selling their notebooks in the country due to the rapid devaluation of the ruble.

From the 11th – 15th February, Panasonic will be sponsoring the 2015 e-Luminate Festival in Cambridge, UK. A projection will be mapped onto the King’s College Chapel, using Panasonic projectors and the technical expertise of 3D projection specialist Ross Ashton.

Swiss AV equipment rental company Auviso has invested in Barco, purchasing 14 of the HDF-W26 and HDX-W20 projectors. Auvisio said that it chose Barco’s products due to their brightness, robustness and reliability.
