Taiwanese optical film maker Wah Hong Industrial is to begin producing films for display sizes up to 90″ next year. The company currently produces films up to 60″ in size. In addition, two more coating lines will be added to the current three in Q3’15, and begin operation in Q4.

Semiconductor Manufacturing International has begun operations at its 200mm wafer fab in Shenzen. 10,000 wafers will be produced each month by the end of the year, growing to 20,000 per month by the end of 2015.
Shipments of laptop PCs from Inventec will fall between November and December, the company has said. Inventec shipped 1.5 million notebooks in October and 1.6 million in November.
LEDinside, a division of Trendforce, has predicted that global production value of LED-backlit tablets and LCD TVs will fall 21.7% and 14.3% YoY, respectively, this year. The products’ production value will be $476 million (tablets) and $2.4 billion (TVs).
