Acer’s Annual Sales Lowest in 7 Years

Acer reported its lowest annual sales since 2007 for last year, decreasing 8.4% year on year to NT$329.8 billion ($10.4 billion). The company’s sales in December rallied slightly, rising 1.7% sequentially and 2% YoY to NT$29 billion ($915.7 million). EC Launches UHF Consultation

The European Commission has launched a public consultation on future uses of the UHF (700MHz) spectrum (http://tinyurl.com/nnzcomc). Specifically, the EC is seeking views on Pascal Lamy’s proposals last year (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 35), that the spectrum be switched to wireless broadband by 2020. The consultation will run until 12th April.
