MSC Technologies is to show off its embedded DisplayPort (eDP) products at Embedded World 2016 (hall 2, stand 2-240). The show takes place from 24th – 26th February in Nuremberg. They include modules from Sharp, AUO and NLT.

Samsung has announced what is widely expected to be the launch date of the next Galaxy smartphone: the 1st March, just before MWC, in Barcelona. The invitation sent to the Display Monitor team indicates that the phone is likely to be both thin and curved, or flexible.
Samsung announced this week that two of its vice presidents had resigned, both for personal reasons. Park Gwang-gi, vice president of the company’s video display department in charge of strategic marketing tendered his resignation, along with Kim Seok-pil, vice president of strategic marketing for the company’s mobile communications unit. Flextronics’ net profit in the third quarter improved to $153 million from $145 million a year earlier, though turnover was slightly lower at $7 billion from $7.2 billion. For the year to date, Flextronics reported a net profit of $465.7 million on turnover of $20.2 billion.
